Dr. Tomas Jose Barrientos Quezada
Dr. Barrientos is a Guatemalan Archaeologist, who became the Director of the Archaeology Department of the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala in 2005.
He specialises in Mesoamerican Archaeology and Archaeology and Heritage Interpretation and Synthesis.
He has large experience of +25 years of working in Guatemala, reaching high directive positions on diverse archaeological work, including co-directing for 9 years the Cancuen Archaeological Project.
He has also a prolific list of publications on the subject of Ancient Maya in Guatemala, has presented at over 175 conferences (Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico, United States, Colombia, Spain, Italy, and China), and has been an expert guest in documentaries and radio and TV programs.
